:: Book of Patience: 102 ::

hadith yg bermaksud:
Nabi saw said to the companions that one day there will be unjust rulers who take away your rights and distribute to their families for luxury. And the companions asked ' what shall we do?'. and the Prophet replied ' do not fight your rulers, instead obey your rulers and make du'a to Allah to give back your rights and for the rulers to be just.

explaination:
1. in this situation it is no need for us to fight for the sake of our rights, but make du'a as suggested by the Prophet. be patience
2. one day a man asked Ali r.a , what so many people disobey him, but during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar such problems never occured. and Ali r.a replied ' People at that time were like me (companions with good faith), but people at this time is what you see'. As you can see here, good people make good rulers and vice versa. During the Umayyad dynasty someone asked the Caliph with the same question. the Caliph replied ' if you want us (rulers) to be just, the people have to be good too'.
3. hadith di atas bertepatan dgn hadith ke-7
'"Religion is nasihah." We said: "To whom?" The Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said: "To Allah and His Book, and His messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk."'
di mana kita disuruh utk patuh ( berpandukan syariat islamiah) and memberi nasihat kpd rulers.

references:
Sahih Muslim page 120 Vol 2 : Huthayfah al-Yemani, may Allah be pleased with him, quotes the Prophet (pbuh) saying: "There will be rulers after me who will neither guide according to my guidance, nor follow my Sunnah; and there will be among them men whose hearts are like those of the devils' clad in human form." Huthayfah asked him (pbuh): "What shall I do then, O Messenger of Allah, if I happen to witness that?" He (pbuh) answered: "You shall listen to the ruler and obey him; if he whips your back and confiscates your property, you will still have [no choice but] to listen and obey."
Similar to this hadith is one narrated by Umm Salamah thus: "There will be [unjust] rulers over you, and you will either acknowledge [their being unjust] or deny it. Those who acknowledge shall be considered innocent, while those who deny it will be saved from chastisement." They asked him (pbuh): "Are we not supposed to fight them?" He answered: "No, as long as they uphold their prayers."
